Iseng-iseng membuka situs scanlation online, saya melihat ke daftar Most Popular Manga yang ada di situs tersebut dan melihat nama manga Gakuen Alice berada di peringkat pertama, di atas Naruto. Penasaran, saya mengklik tumbnail Gakuen Alice yang juga berfungsi sebagai tautan ke halaman baca.
Kesan awal, artwork-nya sederhana, bersih, dan sedikit kekanakan. Well, bisa dimengerti karena tokoh utama cerita ini memang anak perempuan berusia 10 tahun. Tapi saat melihat disain karakter, terlihat jelas kalau manga ini beraliran shoujo (manga yang sasaran utamanya adalah anak perempuan, walau anak laki-laki juga tidak larang jika ingin ikut membaca), seperti banyaknya karakter-karakter yang cute, bishounen, polos, naif, kekanakan dan semacamnya. Sekali lagi, bisa dimengerti.
Oke, cerita. Manga ini bercerita tentang Mikan Sakura yang pergi ke Tokyo untuk menyusul sahabat dekatnya yang pindah sekolah ke sekolah khusus untuk anak berbakat. Sesampainya di sana, Mikan Sakura mendapati bahwa sekolah tersebut ternyata bukan untuk anak berbakat yang 'biasa', tetapi untuk anak-anak dengan bakat kekuatan super yang disebut 'alice' (karena itulah manga ini berjudul Gakuen Alice - Alice's School atau Shcool for Alice). Setelah kejadian kecil, Mikan Sakura akhirnya berhasil masuk ke sekolah tersebut. Di sekolah ini, Mikan Sakura menemukan berbagai hal, baik menyenangkan maupun tidak menyenangkan.
Cerita bergulir dengan sederhana, tapi lancar. Cara mangaka-nya bercerita cukup bagus Ada banyak hal-hal lucu di sini, dari hal-hal kecil yang membuat tersenyum, hingga yang membuat tertawa. Di setiap chapter, selalu ada kejadian yang membuat kita ber-"oooohhh.... so sweet...." seperti itu. Betul-betul cerita yang membawa suasana baru setelah membaca cerita-cerita tragedi ala Clamp, Naruto, ataupun atmosfir gelap dan seram ala Bleach.
Saat ini saya baru mencapai Volume 3 atau Chapter 13 (manga-nya sendiri saat ini sudah mencapai Volume 21 atau Chapter 124), jadi saya tidak tahu akan seperti apa jalan cerita berikutnya, karena jujur saja, cerita sweet seperti ini, jika tidak diberi twist yang segar, akan cepat membuat bosan. Tapi bisa saja cerita yang sweet berubah menjadi gloom and doom seperti kebanyakan cerita Clamp (X-1999, Kohaku, dan sepertinya menuju ke arah yang sama: Kobato). Jadi kita nantikan saja kelanjutannya, untuk saat ini, cukup dinikmati suasana ringan, manis, hangat dan ceria yang dibawa Gakuen Alice. Selamat membaca!
Tambahan 1:
Tiap chapter lumayan panjang, bisa mencapai 30-35 halaman, jauh lebih panjang dari chapter manga mingguan biasa yang umumnya hanya 15-an halaman. Menurut saya, panjangnya tiap chapter mungkin dikarenakan cara bercerita yang cukup perlahan, santai, jadi tiap halaman tidak memberikan kesan 'penuh informasi'. Cukup memberikan angin segar setelah membaca fast-paced manga yang umum dijumpai di shounen seperti Naruto, Bleach, dan OnePiece. Tapi slow-paced seperti ini sudah umum di manga-manga shoujo. Dari ceritanya sendiri, ada petunjuk-petunjuk kecil yang menunjukkan ada kejutan besar menanti di alur cerita. Tapi kejutannya apa, masih belum jelas. Saat ini, (Volume 4 Chapter 20), cerita masih berkisar di cerita-cerita ringan penuh tawa.

Dota 6.65 dirilis!!!! Ada dua hero baru, satu item baru, satu hero remake (Visage) dan berbagai perubahan lainnya. Silakan unduh di tempat biasa. Untuk changelog-nya bisa dibaca dibawah ini:
----------------------------------- New Hero ----------------------------------------Hm.... kalau dari changelog-nya, saya agak kurang suka dengan Medusa (ultimate jadi lebih lama cooldown-nya, dan penurunan stat Razor. Razor yang krupuk jadi makin tipis seperti kertas.... Remake Visage cukup menarik. Item baru juga cukup menarik, bagus untuk hero support. Perubahan cooldown ultimate Axe dengan Aghanim cukup imba kalau menurut saya. 20 detik itu terlalu sebentar, mungkin 30 detik jika menurut saya. Fungsi on/off damage aura di Radiance cukup berguna, misalnya jika kita dikejar dan berusaha juking. Lalu nice buff di banyak hero (Leshy, Mirandul, Pud-Ndut, Nite Stalkos, Neix). Tidak sabar mencoba hero baru dan hero remake.....

If Razzil does not throw the concoction soon after it will blow up and Razzil himself will suffer as if he was hit by the concoction. Concoction can blow up mid air if fired too late.

Whenever a hero teleports to an area, it causes any other teleports to that area to be delayed with extra time based on the number of heroes that teleported or are teleporting there. Each teleport leaves has memory lasts about 20 seconds for that location.- Teleport location effect no longer lies to the enemies about the landing spot
This does not affect teleports to the fountain area (it accounts for rough areas around shop area as well).
Example: First hero teleports to his tower, he takes the usual 3 seconds casting time. Then lets say the 3 other heroes teleport right after. The second one that telports after the original has a 5 second teleport time. Then 6 seconds, 7, etc.
- Enemies now see the colors of the teleporting heroes
- Increases max range on where you can choose teleport near a building from 350 to 525
- The color of the teleport effect changes if you are in delayed teleport mode. It goes to normal once you have the standard 3 seconds left. So both sides can tell if its a quick or a delayed teleport and time things accoringly.

Untuk yang sudah pernah mendengar lagu Already Gone dari Kelly Clarkson, pasti merasa seperti ada kemiripan dengan lagu Halo dari Beyonce. Bahkan di internet sendiri Kelly Clarkson sudah mengemukakan kekecewaannya:

Btw, untuk yang masih merasa tidak percaya, silakan dengarkan sendiri versi mashup Halo vs. Already Gone di youtube, ada banyak sekali, baik Already Gone musik Halo maupun sebaliknya.
Untuk yang ingin mencoba membuiktikan sendiri (seperti saya ehm ehm), caranya mudah sekali. Pertama anda butuh berkas lagu Already Gone dan Halo. Kedua, perangkat lunak pengedit audio, contoh yang gratis Audacity. Ketiga, waktu hehehehe.
Langkah-langkahnya:
- Buka kedua file lagu di Audacity.
- Satukan kedua file tersebut di satu file, bisa dengan menyalinkan kedua track ke satu track baru atau (yang seperti saya lakukan), menyalinkan satu track ke track lagu lain.
- Samakan tempo kedua lagu. Already Gone memiliki tempo lagu 74 bpm (beat per minute), sedangkan tempo Halo adalah 80 bpm.
- Geser track dari Already Gone sehingga sejajar dengan saat dimulainya instrument Halo (lagu Halo memiliki fade in intro yang cukup lama). Contoh tangkapan layarnya seperti ini:
- Tekan tombol putar, dan rasakan persamaannya!
Update 1: setelah mencoba mengutik-utik menggunakan Audacity dan hasilnya ternyata.......
SAMA (blok untuk melihat).
